Nice room. Very clean. Good location and very good on site parking. Breakfast was fantastic. Would stay again.
Very small rooms and literally no room to turn around in the 'bathroom'. I listened to the guy in the next room snoring all night and was able to hear the water gushing through the pipes every time he showered or flushed as there is no soundproofing at all. Every afternoon the owner (husband) layed himself out in his recliner chair, feet up, large tv blasting out the lounge area some movie making the area unusable for guests. Our bed must have needed replacing at least 2 years ago, and had such thick winter quilts on that we couldnt sleep under them. It appears to be full of contractors during the week so all they need is a bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were quite good. You got a selection to choose from but their breakfast menus need replacing as they don't list all they do and sadly no evening meals are available on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night. Again another pointer to catering for contractors.
Lovely staff. Room and bathroom fits the price. Full length mirror, hairdryer, tv, kettle with biscuits. Soaps etc in the bathroom. Good breakfast.
Have just spent 4 lovely cosy nights here. The fox is excellent and I'd your a big eater it's right up your street as that's plenty. Comfortable new beds with a power shower better than mine at home. Owners are friendly and staff always happy. Oh! And it's got a bar too
A good location - easy to travel around Stevenage. The rooms aren't that big, but have comfortable beds. The en-suites are small with a shower, sink and toilet in every room. There is a building with several rooms separated from the main hotel, and a large enough car park. The breakfast has a good range and includes veggie options too! There is quite a lot of space in the dining room (And s friendly cat as well!). A good place with friendly staff for a quick weekend getaway.
