Exceptional experience.We sold our second property in a row through Putterills on Stevenage High Street. As before, the professionalism demonstrated throughout was first class.From start to finish, they guided us through the process taking on the work away from us where possible.All the staff were polite and helpful, with Duncan and Nigel particularly impressive in their knowledge and pro-active approach.To top it off, we sold at the recommended value.would 100% recommend.
We were recommended Putterils by family members who had a great experience with them, so our expectations were high I suppose. They got the job done, reluctantly, but at times were incredibly rude!As first time buyers we were new to this and requested to view the house a few times, as we wanted reassurance that we had made the right choice. During the completion process, the surveyor identified a couple of issues which we requested to be fixed during negotiatians with the seller. I felt this was reasonable and upon seeking advice, was re-assured it was a normal request.Initially Duncan handled our case, and was very polite, very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Later in the process another member of the team handled our sale. I was absolutely shocked at the way he treated us and the way he wrote to my fiance and I. I felt he was incredibly unhelpful, and at times very rude during the exchange of emails. Even our solicitor commented that his behaviour was unacceptable. He made us feel incredibly uncomfortable during a process which should have been highly enjoyable and memorable for us as first time buyers. Whilst we expected hurdles during the process, we didn't expect to be treated in such a rude and discourteous manner by our own estate agents!During viewings they demonstrated complete disinterest and at times irritation at our request to check progress on the works that we had negotiated. This changed my view of Putterills as our poor experience now extended over more than one individual.In all, they got the job done. However my fiance and I were made to feel disrespected and insignificant during the sales process. Whilst I mentioned it above already, the way our allocated sales member wrote to my fiance and I was completely unacceptable, rude and disrespectful.I would not recommend Putterils in Stevenage based on the way that we were treated. This is a shame as Duncan put in very good ground work at the start, which unfortunately was tarnished by colleagues later on in the process.
Very professional and helpful
Pretty awful experience with the High street branch. The manager can only be described as utterly socially inept.The rest of the staff don't bite quite as hard.In my experience they do not act in their vendors best interests or in the interests of their purchasers...sadly they seem to act solely in their own best interests...something I hoped was banished from the profession years ago.Obviously this branch hasn't moved with the times.
Very unhelpful whilst we we're trying to rent a property through them. Went elsewhere in the end, so they lost the sale through their rudeness.
