Sorry it's taken so long to leave a review but wanted to give credit where it was due.Sold my house with these guys (Great Ashby branch) in the summer of 2017. Had been on with another agent for 6 weeks with little to no interest. Should have gone with GM straight away really because within a few days they had enough viewings lined up to generate an acceptable offer. However, as can be the case, the buyer withdrew out of the estate agents control.Within a week though, they had secured another buyer, who was in a great position having been financially qualified & I was under offer again. The whole process took just over a couple months & it was pretty much plain sailing (I was no chain & so was my buyer). There were some contact issues but these were resolved.The advice was honest (yeah, from an estate agent too) & their valuation was spot on given market conditions & I achieved pretty much the asking price due to this. It's no coincidence from my experience that you see more of their sold boards than anyone else's & if you are open to taking the advice on hand, then you won't go far wrong. Of course, there can be bad experiences, but often what happens in house chains, and with buyers or sellers delaying/pulling out, these issues are out of the estate agents control, but they are an easy target for criticism (think how much you pay for a solicitor & how often you can't speak to them directly).My recommendation is: always get 3 valuations on your home, but make sure you choose Geoffrey Matthews to do one of them.
