Never get an available appointment start phoning at 8 never get through eventually after 15 or so minutes when you might get through they say phone back tomorrow at 8 because there's no available appointments today. How is this possible
The Indian Dr. got annoyed at us when our child was making a bit of noise while she saw us. Another time she shrugged her shoulders at me when I said "so there's nothing that can be done" relating to being seen by an orthopaedic hospital for my leg which I could barely walk on at the time.UPDATE : I saw another doctor here a couple of weeks ago. They actually phoned me to ask if I can leave 10mins earlier to be seen immediately. I did. I got there and they were showing other people into the room. They then made me wait. Finally I got seen after the unnecessary wait they made me do. After telling the GP about a pain in my chest and how I'm worried about having lung cancer he told me he needs to go to make an appointment of his own and clearly didn't bother listening to my problem. He was concerned with getting me out of the room. He didn't even listen to my chest or anything. He also answered a private call on his mobile while I saw him and even though he didn't have a lengthly conversation he did pick it up to tell them he'd call back. "what if I die" I said. "I don't think you're going to die" he said. Unbelievable! A doctor who thinks he can tell if someone is going to die or not just by looking at them... he must be good. This visit ended with me getting up and telling this doctor that it was a disgrace that I've come to see my GP about a problem that I think is serious yet I'm being chucked out because my GP needs to go to his own appointment. "Good luck I hope it goes well for you" is what I said and left the room. This is from a man who's father died a few years back of lung cancer.
I ttended to a free smoking appointment , and the nurse were unfriendly, never back there.
Absolutely the worst doctors in Stevenage. Can NEVER get an appointment even when I phone at 8am! Utterly useless.
I have no problem with the doctors , its just that it is nearly impossible to get to see one .I tried the quick route ..((phone at 8.00 )) and each time all appointments have been booked so I went the long route and was able to get an appointment 3 weeks later .I live in a sheltered housing project and I have all sorts of pull cords and thing round my neck so with a pull or a press I could have the whole might of the NHS on call within minutes but I have to wait 3 weeks to see my doctor .
