Clapping was on point.

Canonised in the 13th century St Evenage is the patron saint of Chavs. He was martyred by being buried under thousands of fake Burberry hats until he suffocated. He was canonised in the late 18th century by Pope Kanye the IVth. More seriously Stevenage has a brilliant pathway system that extends over the whole town and allow pedestrians and cyclists to get around without ever needing to get near a car. Wish a few more towns did that. Also there is on the southern side close to what was the Great North Road are some Roman burial mounds. As the Wikipedia goes "The Six Hills are a collection of Roman barrows situated alongside the old Great North Road on Six Hills Common in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England. They are classed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and are protected by law. They form the largest surviving Roman barrow group in England. Beside their historical significance, they lend their name to an important thoroughfare in the town (Six Hills Way) and are a local landmark." It is worth going just for that.

Great links into London (20 minutes on the fast train). A good service for casual visits to London.

This is the worst service I have ever experienced. The bus drivers are rude, they are often late or if they are due at a paticular time the run straight pass stops leaving passengers standing despite us holding out hands out to be picked up. That are obviously making too much money for the company that can afford to leave paying customers behind. I question their driving skills as they are not mindful of other vehicals on the road and passengers who are crossing the roads to use the service. They need to smarten up their acts because the fare prices are to much for the good service customers expect from a public service.

hideous 1960s design the arriva and centerbus drivers block each other making services latedrivers drop off passengers at various locations rather the dedicated dropping off stopthere is no or out of date timetables and the bus shelters are old and dirtythe council needs to do something and update it
