Everything great just the waiting time
So you go into Simmons Bakers and it goes in this order. 1) You walk in and are greeted by a young lad or woman with manners. 2) You ask what you want and they prepare it without quarrelling. 3) They tell you the price and, upon paying with card or cash, happily give you what you ordered. And youre on your way with a smile on your face. Thats why I dont go anywhere else for a sticky bun or sausage roll. Katie is always very friendly and bright (if only more people were like her). And whats more, you are not required to give an email address or street address or telephone number.
Visited today as ive visited other stores and been happy with service, however today I visited this one in old town Stevenage. The member of staff(sophie according to the receipt) was far from happy to be at work, I asked her which of the very limited choices of bagutte did not have mustard in to which she pointed at a coronation chicken one, I asked for it to take away to which she replied "thats all we do today theres no choice" in quite a blunt manner, I then asked for a savoury pastry as well to which she just huffed at my request. When it came to paying she wasn't overly pleased I was paying in cash and asking for a receipt. Safe to say if I visit again if shes behind the counter I will go elsewhere
Outstanding level of choice in sandwich making and a revolving series of fresh fillings ranging anywhere from minted lamb and coronation chicken to fish, salads, and cheeses galore. Incredible selection of cakes, pastries and other sweet treats as well as a number of relatively hard to find yet still very popular canned and bottled drinks. Seating available outside and the shop staff have always been very eager to help and are quick to create/serve up your order.
